There are little wonders up and down this site - there's something strangely aluring about stained glass. I find this Harry Clark window particulary striking - it's a bit preraphelite (which is a good way to catch my attention) and a bit something else I can't identify - maybe a little Irishness.

Oh, Shane, what a gorgeous gift! Thank you so much - I'm delighted with it. It's a Shane Gallagher classic, all luminous colours and flowing curves, and I'm really looking forward to actually seeing it in the flesh (in the glass?) when we're back in Dublin in September. I'm deeply proud to have such a talented artist as a brother. It's wonderful to see all the technical details here and now I really want to see that sandblasted Victorian glass up close.

Hi Shane, you commented on my blog about gold paint. I thought the paint was really interesting myself. I am not sure if the product is available outside of Germany, but I have German details for it. I haven't tried to buy it off them so I am not sure if they are up to date. The details are what I copied from the bottle. The address for the supplier is FERRO, Rodenbacher Chausse 4, 63457 Hanau, 06181/59-0. Their phone number is +49 (0) 69/3056418. Extra details on the bottle that you might need to reference before ordering are: GG 100 12, 12% GLAZGOLD, SAP 1172564.
